Hello to all,
I am creating a smartform for a type label. In the main window, I have a table that loops an internal table and outputs one line for each table entry. My table has 6 lines and the height of the main window is more than big enough to contain them all. Nevertheless smartforms does a page break after filling up approx, 60 % of the window. I don*t get to understand why. Has anyone an idea?
Working on: SAP ECC 6.0 Basis component SAPKB70212.

We are trying to change our LOCL device printer from F: Access Method to G: but we have a problem.
For example we want to print production order in the CO03 transaction.
If we configure LOCL using F: Access Method it print directly using the windows client default printer.
If we configure LOCL using G: Access Method it prompt several times to select the printer. One time for each spool order.
Is there any way that the system only prompt one time for each time we print an order regarding the number of forms that we print?
We have the same problem with other transactions, but I think that the problem and solution would be the same.

PURPOSE
This document details how to install SAPSPrint on select Print Servers to allow for printing from various SAP applications.
Background
SAP applications have specific requirements to map internally created queues to Windows print queues, and the SAPSPrint service allows this functionality.
Install Steps
Perform the following on print servers.
Launch xSPrint_8-10008892.exe
Note: To download this file
SAP Software Download Center >>Support Packages and Patches >> Search for Support Packages and Patches : Search for SAPSPRINT
Click Next
Select Installation path and press Next
Provide port number
NOTE: If the LPD Service is installed under Print Management (Windows TCP/IP Printing), that service defaults to 515. The SAPSPrint port will need to be changed in that scenario.
NOTE: This starts immediately after install. Local System gives SAPSPrint access only to locally defined printers. If there is a requirement to have access to machines not defined on the print server (eg. Remote network, printers locally connected to client, etc) then this service will need to start under a domain account.
I would also like to add that there are also command line options that you can leverage to make the install easier/faster if you are required to install these on numerous print servers in your Windows environment. I have used the /noDLG option and the entire install is just a progress bar.

I am new in SAP. Before I proceed with the problem that we encounter, lets me explain a little bit about our environment.
We have one SAP production server and one SAP application/dialog server. Currently, we have set the production server is for our main office use here in Malaysia, while dialog server is for our branch use in Vietnam, but both server are located in main office.
I have configured the network print queue separately for each servers in AIX version 6.1. Example, for printer CL408MG2 use in main office, I configured in production server, while for printer SVCM84PRO use in Vietnam, I configured in dialog server. Same as for host setting in SPAD.
Those both printer CL408MG2 and SVCM84PRO is been use for same process which is to print a label during Good Receipt process. For printer CL408MG2, it always went down when there is too many queue and need to "refresh" (disable and enable) the printer. When doing this "refresh printer" always happen that label from Vietnam suddenly print out at Malaysia printer even though the Vietnam staff said that they key in the correct printer name. This problem happen only during Malaysia staff do "refresh printer" on printer CL408MG2. As for Vietnam staff, they did not encounter this problem which their printer did not print out Malaysia label.
I have check over and over the setting in both AIX (smitty spooler, etc/host) and SPAD but could not find anything wrong. Please help me to solve this problem.

i searched and know that on "opks" i can find it. i found report "PSFC_OBJECT_LIST".
but i cannot found any function for call smartfform so that i change it. how can i call my smartform?

We are thinking about implementing PAL on SAP Systems. We have a small issue that i want to ask if someone has the same problem.
Is there a way to lock a printer only for one system ? For example the Printer A is them locked on Q system and in P system is unlocked.
One more question How should i deal with Virtual printers ?

Does anyone have experience of using Printer Assistant for Landscapes (PAL) in a productive environment? I am tearing my hair out and I had little enough to start with.
I am setting up PAL and I am trying to come up with a logical grouping of printers which will allow me to optimise deployment of printers across a landscape of with separate development and maintenance streams, pre-prod, training and production systems.
My challenge is that it appears that in PAL a printer can only exist in one prnter group - if i have 5 printers - 1,2,3,4 and 5 and on one machine I have all the printers 1,2,3,4 and 5, on another 1,2 and 3, on another 3 and 4 and on another 1, 4 and 5. Using the printer group approach the only way I can proceed with this is to create lots of printer groups each containing one printer rather than the more logical approach which would have been possible if a printer could be in multiple groups.
Please help it is driving me crazy.

we are implementing ESS (My SAP ERP) on EP 7.0 (SP09) and ERP 2005 (SP06).
We want to enable ESS Service for Salary Statement in the portal.
We have copied the form SAP_PAYSLIP to ZSAP_PAYSLIP and the form works and looks fine when it is excecuted in SAP GUI (HRFORMS).
But when we try to run the display the Form as PDF Docuemnt in the ESS (Payslip service) in the Portal, we get the following Error:

As the subject indicates, the author is using long text in a smartform where each row(record) is having a longtext.
The requirement is
After first record,
To send next records to a new page wherever the length (long text) exceeds the residual page length.
Hope i'm understood.

Hi Experts,
The requirement is in the header section Purchase Requisition number, Plant one secondary window and Vendor Address is in another secondary window.
The item details Purchase requisition Item no, Quantity, G/L account, and price. I fetched the details from EBAN and EBKN and I have taken one internal table for header section and one internal table for item section in the print program. So I need to display each purchase requisition in different page.
When I first switched over to SAP for a profession, I spent a number of hours trying to figure out what and where functional teams were printing. We also a had a SAP implementation partner, unfortunately all of the Basis 'experienced' employees that came on board, the printing infrastructure had various printers and were not consistent through the landscape.
Since I have a background with Windows Server Administration and knew that within my company we have multiple print servers, I came across SAPSprint software and started preparing for printer changes. I also had no desire to log into multiple SAP systems to keep printers consistent and I'm not a fan of transporting printers, and then came across tx PAL.
So here is how I have printers setup using Windows print servers along with PAL:
Have SAPSprint installed to the Windows server (look here for additional information - http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-30837)
I interviewed functional team leads to determine what document types need to be printed and which systems needed printing services (PI & BW for example in my setup do not require print outs)
Based on my requirements I needed Zebra printers (for labels), front end printers, spool only, check MICr printing, and only defined printers for nightly invoice batch printing.
As I was working on that process, a co-worker who still performs Windows administration suggested using DNS aliases on the print servers along with DNS host records for the printers so within SPAD it would have a line as follows for a Zebra: \\2300-01-PRNTSRV\L2300-01-101
Why do it like this, it allows for changes to only need to occur in DNS and SAP continues to work, think along the lines of loosing a main print server and your server team setting up a backup system for you to use.
Now because I am also the lead for SolMan, I know that it has RFCs to every system for other purposes, but by using PAL it can use the same RFCs. Now I recommend when you setup PAL to point it to client 000 on the target system; this allows you to also transfer device types through PAL. However device types seem to always require an open client, using 000 I have far less chance of someone modifying the system (also keep in mind that device types and printers are both client independent).
Now where things really paid off for me, I received an after hours call asking for a printer redirection due to toner being changed, and the users have sent about 15 - 20 documents to the printer. Now I don't need to tell anyone how much work for myself or the users this typically causes. But since I had things setup to the Windows print server I connected into that first and saw all of the 'missing' documents sitting on hold; I redirected the printer on this print server and all of the documents started printing.
So while it may take a little bit of work up front, in the long run its less overall management for the Basis team.

I have created a zform for purchase order and have assigned it to NACE.
Now everything works fine, i could take print as well as see the preview. Now the problem is after everything gets processed im getting the following message at the bottom of the purchase order :
' Processing routine ENTRY_NEU in program ZSK_PO does not exist
Message no. VN068 '
when i searched the thread i got the following solution but i dont know how to do it ? is this the correct solution , if yes can u people tel me how to do it ?

I am trying to get Adobe forms printing to non default tray for HP 4350

I am having trouble following the instructions
For my Adobe form
I made the the first Masterpage's Paper Type as "A4 Letterhead"
The xml for this is stored as stock="a4Letterhead"
I then create a new xdc "zhp4350pcl5e.xdc" from one of the implemented ones hp4350pcl5e.xdc in system.
I modifed it and added:
<medium stock="a4Letterhead" short="210mm" long="297mm">26</medium>
<inputTrayDefinition name="Tray 3" medium="a4Letterhead" trayNumber="4"/>
I then upload this into /usr/sap/RD3/SYS/global/AdobeDocumentServices/lib/
I copied a Device type ZHP4350 from HP4350
Modied my test printer in SPAD to use new deveice type ZHP4350
I then used program via se38 RSPO0022 to add to table TSP0B with entry for ZHP4350, PCL and zhp4350pcl5e.xdc
I have tried the above with no luck as it still prints to default tray. I modify <inputTrayDefinition name="Tray 3" medium="a4Letterhead" trayNumber="4"/> to a different trayNumber="2 " or "3" or "5" and re-uploaded and I even made sure used se38 RSPO0022 to delete and re-create after each change (Not sure if necessary)
What am I missing?

We wanted to print SMARTFORM output on Multiple Printers when a print is issued.Also, need to send the PDF format of the output to a distribution list at the same time.
one of our idea is to loops thru( if ther are 3 printers- loop thru 3 times) smartform function module and change the printer name.
Any other efficient way to handlethis emailing and printing ?
We are using SAP ECC6, sMARTFORM , Output is issued from delivery , Invoice.

I am trying to print Double side print using print Mode 'D'.
I am Having 4 Pages like below.
page next Page print Mode
FIRST SECOND D
SECOND THIRD ' '
THIRD FOURTH D
FOURTH ' '
And If I am printing this smartform,it has to print SECOND page as back side of FIRST page & similarly FOURTH page as back side of THIRD page.
But in my case only FORUTH page is coming correctly as double side, SECOND page is coming as NEW page instead of FIRST page back side.
Can anyone please help me.

I have a smartforms with 3 pages. page_1 and page_2 are static. page_3 is dynamic.
page_1 and page_2 contains n secondary windows and one main windows. This main windows contain only one command line for break page.
the page_3 contain only one main windows.
For best comprehension, see attached file.
page_1 and page_2 are printed but not page_3.
If i put page_3 in first position, she's printed.
I don't understand why the page_3 are not printed after the page_2.

see the attached screen-shot:
in my smartforms i have a header line with fixed text.
then i loop over a table and move the 3 fields of the internal table on the form.
how can i ensure in smartforms that the 3 fields are exactly under the header of the 3 fields.
in the screenshot you can see that field numer 2 is only filled in 1 case. and in this case the amount starts in the next line.
how to avoid this ? it is not working right with tab-stops

I have seen the post http://scn.sap.com/thread/899788 explaining the next paragraph same page concept. It only seems to work in the simple case.
If paragraph B can not fit on the same page as paragraph A, then both A and B move to the next page.
But now consider paragraphs A, B, C, D all with this option checked.
If A, B, and C all fit on page one but D does not, it brings C to page 2 with D.
The problem is that now that C is on page 2, B should be reevaluated and move to page 2. And then A should also after reevaluation.
I want all the paragraphs to appear on the same page. Anyone have a solution for this issue?

We are on ERP 6.0 EHP4 and need to set up new ST-9630 printers (with MICR) from Source Technologies for printing AP checks directly out of SAP. I can't find any information about which device type to use for this printer model. Can anybody help?
